How to Set Up an Evenflo Playpen

Evenflo offers two types of playpens for babies: the BabySuite Classic and the BabySuite Select. The BabySuite Classic playard is simple and lightweight, and some models include a bassinet while others include a changer. The BabySuite Select playard's extra features include vibration, music and heavy-duty wheels. All BabySuite Select playards include a bassinet and changer, and some models also include a toy bar and canopy. Evenflo playpens are convenient for parents on the go, as they are easily set up anywhere they are needed.

Remove the feet and the wheel assemblies from the playard bag. Store the bag. Slide the two wheel assemblies onto the wheel bases toward the center of the playard until they snap into place. Slide the feet into the two feet bases on the playard the same way as the wheels.

Remove the playard from the bag and place it upright on the floor. Unfasten the Velcro straps to remove the playard mattress. Remove the mattress.

    • 3

Separate the feet of the playard to open it. Lift the two long rails of the playard up until they lock into place. The floor of the playard must stay up for the sides to lock. If the sides are not locking, lift the floor of the playard up by pulling on the handle in the center of the playard floor and pulling the feet of the playard together. Lift the two short rails until they lock into place.

    • 4

Push down the center of the playard until it locks in a flat position.

    • 5

Place the mattress on the playard with the soft side up. Push down on each corner to make sure the Velcro straps attach to the playard.
