Can a baby sleep in box?

It is extremely dangerous for a baby to sleep in a box. Here's why:

* Suffocation Risk: Boxes can trap a baby's face against the sides, making it very difficult to breathe.

* SIDS Risk: Babies are at an increased risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) when they sleep in unsafe positions or environments. Boxes offer no support and can increase the risk of SIDS.

* Temperature Issues: Boxes can trap heat and create a dangerous environment for a baby.

* No Safety Features: Unlike a crib or bassinet, a box does not have any safety features to prevent the baby from rolling or falling out.

Safe Sleep Practices:

* Use a Firm, Flat Sleep Surface: Babies should always sleep on their backs on a firm, flat surface, like a crib mattress or bassinet mattress.

* No Loose Bedding: Keep blankets, pillows, and stuffed animals out of the baby's sleep area.

* Room Temperature: Keep the baby's room temperature comfortable, between 68-72 degrees Fahrenheit.

* Safe Sleep Position: Always place the baby on their back to sleep.

If you have any questions or concerns about safe sleep practices, please consult with your baby's pediatrician.
