How to Make the Graco Pack 'N Play Into a Bassinet

The Graco Pack 'N Play is a piece of baby equipment that is ideal for travel, as well as for home use. Some models include a bassinet, an attachment that covers the Pack 'N Play, providing an elevated sleeping area for newborns. This elevated bassinet makes putting a sleeping newborn down without the parent or caregiver having to bend over very much. Infants can typically sleep in the bassinet until they are about 3 or 4 months old, or when they begin rolling over.

Instructions

    • 1

Slide the narrow end of one of the metal rods into the round hole of the opposite rod. Repeat with the other two rod halves.

    • 2

Slide each of the metal rods through the tunnels along the sides of the bassinet. The rods should be protruding from each end of the tunnels.

    • 3

Attach the bassinet to the Pack 'N' Play. Locate the end of a tube without the red spring latch. Insert the loop at this end into a slot on the corner of the Pack 'N Play. Use your thumb to pull back on the red spring latch at the opposite end of the tube and insert the loop into the slot in the corner at the opposite side of the Pack 'N Play. Repeat for the other tube.

    • 4

Wrap the cloth flaps of the bassinet over the remaining sides of the Pack 'N Play, and secure by fastening the snaps. There are four snaps on each end.

    • 5

Place a fitted sheet to the Pack 'N Play's mattress, and secure the mattress into the bassinet by pushing down to secure the Velcro.
