How to Thread a Safety Harness on an Alpha Omega Elite Car Seat
Alpha Omega Elite Car Seats are three-in-one child safety seats that are rated for children between 5 and 100 lb. As the three-in-1 in the name suggests, this product converts from a rear-facing infant seat to a forward-facing child seat and then to a booster seat for use for children between 40 and 100 lb. The final convertibility option does not require the use of the harness and instead uses the vehicle's shoulder strap.
Instructions
Place the buckle strap down through the center slot in the top of the car seat with the red button facing outward. This is the strap that will be between the child's legs. Pull the buckle strap from Step 1 all the way through the center slot to the underside of the car seat, making certain that the metal plate has pulled all the way through. Pull up on this buckle from the top of the car seat to ensure that it is properly installed. Feed the left harness strap down through the slot on left-hand side of the seat. This is the slot that is located adjacent to where the child's hip will be. Wrap the strap from Step 4 across the bottom of the seat. Feed the strap up through the slot on the right-hand side of the seat near where the child's hip will be located. Thread one of the straps through the slot on the buckle with the red button. Place the strap from Step 7 through the plastic piece that will be positioned on the child's chest. Feed the strap from the previous two steps through the slot on the back of the car seat where the child's shoulder will be. Repeat Steps 7, 8 and 9 with the remaining strap. Pull both straps through the back side of the seat. On the back of the seat, locate a metal bar that is snugly fitted against the car seat. The straps must pass over that metal bar and underneath the raised plastic bar that runs parallel to it. Maneuver the loops on the ends of the straps onto the splitter plate, which is similar in appearance to a metal "T."
