Graco Sweetpeace Instructions

The Graco Sweetpeace is a series of infant swings with patented soothing technology. The swing has four seating positions and three levels of recline. Its rocking motion, called MomMotion, is designed to mimic a mother's natural soothing movements. It also has optional vibration motion and six swing speeds. The seat is removable and can be set on the floor to double as a bouncy seat. The swing is pre-programmed with 15 soothing sounds, but also has an MP3 port for personalized sound production. It comes in pieces and must be assembled properly before it can be used.

Instructions

    • 1

Push the two halves of the metal frame together. The left front bar will slide inside the right front bar. The toy square pieces on the back will join to form a large rectangle.

    • 2

Push the oval shaped plastic Graco emblem into the holes on the front side of the metal base. Push the large rectangular piece that has holes for fastening further elements into it inside the hollow rectangular area on the back of the base.

    • 3

Slide the large plastic tower down over the rectangular base. The holes in the base should line up with posts inside the tower exactly. You should feel them click into place.

    • 4

Push the two posts that stick out of the side of the square frame into the holes on the swing arm. The swing arm is a small U-shaped piece on the tower. Push the pegs in the holes until you hear a snap.

    • 5

Place the hooks in the top half of the plastic swing seat into the slots on the side of the bottom half of the swing seat. Push the upper portion of the seat back into a reclining position until it locks into position. You should hear a snap.

    • 6

Run the straps down through the holes in the seat cover first, and then down through the plastic seat. Unfold the cloth tabs on the end of the straps under the plastic seat to prevent the straps from pulling back out.

    • 7

Pull the cloth cover down over the plastic seat. Elastic in the seat cover will hold it in position. Pull the cloth down over the edge of the plastic seat all the way around.

    • 8

Slide the loops on the headrest down over the shoulder straps until the headrest lays against the seat back.

    • 9

Push the flat plastic piece, below the hinge, on the canopy through the holes in the cloth cover and down into the slots in the plastic seat. They should snap into position.

    • 10

Set the seat in the frame, starting at the head and rocking forward toward the feet. It snaps in the same way a car seat snaps into the car seat base. The seat can be set in the frame in any direction, facing forward, back, left or right.
