How to Operate a Graco Sweetpeace

The Graco Sweetpeace can be a secure and soothing place for baby to sleep in a musical environment or a place of entertainment nearby Mom and Dad so they can complete other tasks in the house. Operating the system might seem overwhelming at first; however, once you are familiar with the location and use of the mechanisms, you will be so satisfied that your baby can take full advantage of all the Graco Sweetpeace has to offer.

  1. Using the Graco Sweetpeace

      Discover the positions in relation to the speakers. After successfully assembling the Grace Sweetpeace, note that there are three positions the cradle can maintain -- facing into the speakers, facing the side and facing out from the speakers.

      Learn how to prepare your baby to be placed inside the product. The Graco Sweetpeace comes equipped with a tailored swaddle cloth. To use, place swaddler on a flat surface with the opening facing up. Place the baby inside. Carry the left side of the swaddle over to the right side. Pull the right side of the blanket tightly to the left side. Pull the bottom of the swaddler in a taut fashion upward into joining the fabric fastener.

      Place baby in the Graco Sweetpeace. Insert crotch strap first through the swaddling blanket, then buckle together by joining both vertical and horizontal seat belts together.

      Attach teddy toy with the fabric fastener above the cradle for baby to see.

    Attaching SnugRide or Infant SafeSeat

      Lift SnugRide seat high above the square portion extending from the base. Four grooves are located on each side of the square that correspond to the four grooves of the seat. To lock the SnugRide seat in the base, lower the unit down with the back of the seat facing away from the speakers to best hear the music. Snap in. To remove, pull red lever on seat and lift. The SnugRide seat can also be snapped facing in to the speakers, facing to the side, or facing out and away from the speakers.

      Install four D-LR20 batteries (not included) underneath the seat. The unit can also be run without batteries if plugged into the enclosed AC adapter. However, please note that the the vibrating option of the unit will not work with the AC adapter, as it only runs on battery power. Also keep in mind that when the adapter is in use, the batteries will stop functioning; therefore the adapter must be unplugged should you choose have the Graco Sweetpeace fully functioning with the batteries.

      Use MP3 player by connecting it to main unit.

      Select speed. On the dials of the product, choose a speed number from one to six. One is the slowest speed and six is fastest.

      Locate the Motion (On/Off) button that resembles a circle with a vertical line in the top middle. The motion will turn on the last chosen speed when this button is pressed. Pressing it a second time will turn the unit off.

      Discover the playful music button in the shape of two music notes. This button starts fast and fun music. The button lights up to show you what you have selected. Five songs will play in sequence. To skip a song, press the button. The soothing button is found with a picture of one music note only. Six songs are associated with this button and all play in turn.

      Find the soothing sounds button that is pictured as an ocean with a heart on the top. Five sounds will play: the womb, a stream, the forest, whales and a distant storm.
