Ideas for Announcing Pregnancy to Grandparents

Once you find out you are pregnant, there are many people you will want to let know the news. Your spouse will be one of the first few on the list, but soon after him, both sets of future grandparents will need to be told as well.   1. Present Them With A Gift

When they call or email you asking what the special date is, this is when you can tell your parents why you sent the card and that you are expecting a new grandchild for them.

    • Invite the grandparents over for a meal. Create this meal to represent items that a baby might eat, including applesauce, oatmeal and cookies for children when they teethe. Your parents will be surprised at the type of food that is being served, so ask them to guess why they think you are serving those items. Let them know the food all follows a theme, and you have some important news to share with them. These hints should help them guess the news you are about to reveal.
