How to Keep a Baby Busy While You Houseclean

Babies need attention almost all the time, and, as a result, you may feel like your house gets no attention. With a little bit of planning, you can keep your baby busy and happy and feel like you have your housecleaning situation under control. Involving your little one in what you are doing will also help you get a bit of cleaning done, and she may have a good time while you're working too.

      Create a ̶0;baby drawer̶1; in the kitchen, bathroom and living room. In the kitchen drawer, put plastic containers, wooden spoons, plastic cups and other safe items your baby can stack and bang. In the living room, put toys she can play with in a drawer or on a shelf that she can reach. In the bathroom, put some play versions of your makeup or empty shampoo bottles in a spot she can get to. The idea is to keep your child busy while you clean in or near the room where she is playing.

      Turn on some of your baby̵7;s favorite music for a few minutes while you clean. Get into the music yourself, dancing and singing. If your baby doesn̵7;t dance along with you, he will at least be entertained watching and listening to you. In the meantime, you will be getting those kitchen counters cleaned and the floor swept.
