At what ages will growth spurts happen?

Growth spurts can happen at different ages for different people, but there are some general trends:

For girls:

* First growth spurt: Usually starts around age 8 or 9, and peaks around age 11 or 12.

* Second growth spurt: Starts around age 13 or 14, and lasts until about age 15 or 16.

For boys:

* First growth spurt: Starts around age 10 or 11, and peaks around age 13 or 14.

* Second growth spurt: Starts around age 15 or 16, and lasts until about age 18 or 19.

Important to remember:

* These are just averages. Some children may experience growth spurts earlier or later than others.

* Genetics play a huge role. Your child's growth is primarily determined by their genes.

* Growth spurts are not always noticeable. Sometimes they happen gradually over a long period.

* Don't worry if your child isn't growing as fast as their friends. As long as they are growing steadily, they are likely on track.

If you have any concerns about your child's growth, it's always best to talk to their doctor. They can assess your child's individual growth and development.
