How to Transition to Sippy Cups

Between six and nine months old, babies are usually ready to begin transitioning from using a bottle to drinking from a sippy cup. This is around the same time where they are beginning to eat solid foods and can grasp objects. However, to transition your child from a bottle to drinking from a sippy cup requires that you allow them to practice before ending bottle use. Since babies are still developing their motor skills, a few months is needed for babies to firmly grasp and successfully drink from a sippy cup.
