How to Get a Boy to Go Poop in the Potty

Take some of the stress out of potty training by working with a child. The experience causes boys stress. Yelling at or scolding the boy will make it harder for him to poop in the toilet. The process takes time. It can take anywhere from a couple of weeks to several months. Reinforce the behavior with rewards. Types of rewards include special foods, stickers, trips and toys. Once the boy uses the potty regularly, slow the use of rewards.
