Driving Lessons

MSR Houston offers driving lessons for teens who want to learn real world driving skills in a safe environment. This program is designed to teach students how to handle a vehicle in a variety of settings and situations. This class focuses on hands-on driving in a closed course setting. The course is set up to imitate various obstacles a driver may encounter. Car control, accident avoidance and spatial awareness are the primary objectives of the course. Students are also taught the dynamics of the physical limitations of their vehicles, as well as their own personal limits. This means the teens will be equipped with the knowledge necessary to handle a vehicle more efficiently.
Defensive Driving

Defensive driving courses are not just for ticket dismissal. Teens can learn valuable lessons on proactive driving and receive an insurance discount of 10 percent for up to three years just for taking the course. The class lasts six hours and can be completed in one day. Students will receive a certificate upon completion that can be turned in to the insurance agency. If a teen receives a traffic citation, defensive driving courses may be offered to remove the first citation. Houston Driving School, Sears and Cypress Driving School all offer defensive driving courses.
