How to Add Maternity Insurance to United Healthcare?

Many insurance companies allow you to tailor your insurance package to fit your needs. Maternity coverage is optional and can be added onto your regular health insurance policy. If you have a health insurance plan with United Healthcare without maternity coverage, you can call the customer service department to start the process of adding this coverage to your policy.

      Contact United Healthcare's customer service department. To find a customer service department in your area select the "Contact Us" link located at the bottom of their web page, uhc.com. Select your state from the drop down menu and select the "Go" button to get the information of locations in your state.

      Ask them to mail appropriate paperwork needed to add maternity coverage to your insurance policy. Confirm your mailing address.

      Fill out the paperwork entirely. Sign and date it, and mail it back to the address indicated on the form. Once your paper work has been received and processed you will receive a letter letting you know if the request to change to your policy was approved.
