How to Know the Gender of an Unborn Baby
Many moms want to know the gender of their unborn babies. The only way to know for certain is to wait until the baby is born, but various tests can be performed to know at high degree of certainty what the gender of the baby will be. The medical tests used to determine gender must be performed by a physician. Other less-invasive gender tests can be performed at home. Some people also use other means, such as the Chinese Lunar calendar or fetal heart rate, to determine gender, but these methods are not accurate.
Instructions
Determine the gestational age of the baby. This is the age of the baby starting from conception in terms of weeks. Eight weeks is the earliest point at which a mother can find out the gender of the baby. Visit your obstetrician. The obstetrician is a specialized physician who cares for mother and baby throughout the pregnancy and can perform tests to determine the gender. Request an ultrasound. An ultrasound is a test in which a technician can see inside the womb to determine the gender of the baby. Purchase an over-the-counter gender test. The Baby Gender Mentor uses the blood of the mom to test the baby's DNA. Other less-invasive tests use urine for possible gender prediction.
