How to Word Announcements for a Baby Boy
Announcing the birth of your new baby son to the world is exciting. You get to show off his newborn pictures and let your friends and family know he has finally arrived. Wording your announcements appropriately helps recipients share in your excitement.

Write the baby's full name and birth information on the announcement, making his name the focal point. Underneath his name, write his date of birth, the time he was born, his weight, length and parents' names. You do not need to write in complete sentences. For example: Joseph Alan Smith Born:Tuesday, February 2, 2010 7:58 p.m. Seven pounds, five ounces 19 inches long John & Mary Smith Write a headline above or to the left of the baby's name and birth information. Decide if you want the announcement formal or casual. For a formal announcement, write something such as, "We are pleased to announce the birth of our son..." or "Announcing the arrival of our new baby boy." For a more casual announcement, you can express more emotion with messages such as "He's here" or "Look who's finally arrived!" You can also word the announcement as if it is written by the baby with a message such as, "Hi everyone, my name is..." and continue with his name and birth information. Add sports images or pictures of traditionally male items, such as toy cars or trains, using clip art. Add a play on words to reflect the images. For example, if you use an image of a toy boat, you can word your message to read, "Meet our new little sailor!"
