The 2019 guide to gift-giving: Best recs for every member of your tribe

Guide to spending
While our economy has been healthy, the Care.com 2019 Cost of Holidays Survey found that 47% of families plan to spend the same amount on holiday gifts this year as they did in 2018. Only 20% of families plan to spend more while 33% plan to spend less in the 2019 holiday season.

While every family̵7;s budget is different, there are some standards when it comes to tipping. (Check out our guide to holiday tipping to find out whom you should tip and how much.) According to our survey, 21% of families plan to spend $50-$99 on holiday tips while 22% will spend $100-$249. Most families (29%) plan to tip less than $50 this year.
