Time tracking on Care.com: Here’s how it works:
Paying a caregiver via Care.com is now easier than ever.
Start by filling out your caregiver’s schedule and letting us know their first day of work.
Next, tell us how often you’d like to pay your caregiver (weekly or bi-weekly) and how you’d like to pay them—credit, cash or check, or other.
Your caregiver will now be automatically clocked in and out every day they work.
Need to make a change? No worries. Both you and your caregiver can make daily edits at any time.
At the end of every week, we’ll send a notification to approve your caregiver’s timesheet.
Double check that everything looks good, make any tweaks and then hit approve.
If you’ve chosen to pay via credit card (it’s free), we’ll pay your caregiver, nearly instantly. You’re done!
Every week, we’ll generate an invoice you can use to easily keep track of all your payments. We do the math for you—that way, you can stay focused on more important things, like getting in an extra bedtime story.
Keep using time tracking and it will keep doing more for you. At the end of every year, you’ll be able to calculate nanny taxes along with any other state or federal obligations.

Time tracking is just one of the new ways we’re working to simplify care for today’s busy families.
