Introduce these words to your child and both of you do the actions together STRETCH, LEAP, SLIDE, RUN, CRAWL, FALL, SPIN, and TURN. Once your child understands what each word means and how to do the action, put on music and try them out. Call out each word and do the action a few times together, then call out a number before the action (for example, three leaps) and perform the movement called out. Make dances using two or three of the words in a row: run, turn, slide. Vary the directions and levels do the action word backwards or sideways, low to the ground, or stretched high in the air.
