Mime is a form of acting which uses gestures and actions instead of words. You might have seen a mime on a street corner or on television. They usually have white faces and dress in black and white. The idea is to pick something you have done before and act it out using only gestures and actions: going to school, eating lunch, a birthday party, getting ready for school, talking on the telephone. Use your hands like you would normally; for instance, if you are opening a present, hold the present, put it next to your ear and shake, open the card, untie the ribbon, then open it. If you are walking around a room, make sure you walk around imaginary furniture, not through it. Use your facial expressions and remember, no sound! See if anyone can guess what you are doing.
