Performing Arts Rehearsal

Performing Arts Rehearsal

Directions

Rehearsals of different kinds are going on all the time in most towns and cities. If you are interested in ballet, music, singing, plays, jazz, mime, children's theatre, or any other performing art, you can ask for permission to watch a rehearsal. To find out what is being produced, check the newspaper for announcements of auditions and for dates when opening nights are scheduled. To find out where to go to watch a rehearsal, call the company or group directly. Dress rehearsals are probably the best performances to watch because they move quickly with few delays. When you are at the rehearsal, remember to sit quietly and refrain from eating or drinking.

Note: Universities, high schools, and colleges are convenient places to watch rehearsals. Call the school for information and directions.
