How to Decorate a Room With a Star Wars Theme
"Star Wars" is one of the most popular science fiction movies of all time. It has made a huge impact on pop culture in almost every form of media. There is so much "Star Wars" merchandise out there that it is easy to plaster your walls with decorations. Instead of just plastering up a bunch of "Star Wars" posters, think about putting yourself into the movie and decorating the walls as if it were a scene.
Instructions
Start off with the blackest paint you can find. By painting all of the walls pure black you are representing the deep dark space. Do not worry, it is not going to remain pure black, a little color will be added in to add light into the room. Add the stars from outer space. The best way to do this is with a simple flick. Get a bucket of pure white paint for the stars. Wearing a glove, press you thumb and index finger together and dip it into the paint. Pull it out of the paint and just flick it at the walls. You will begin to see the stars start to form; this can become a lengthy process so have friends help out if necessary. Add planets using any colors of your choosing. Use a brush to paint a circle and blend colors together to try and show cloud formations or land mixing with water. Break out the "Star Wars" memorabilia. One key thing to make this room effective is having replica spaceships from the films. Whether it is the Death Star, Millennium Falcon, or any of the other many ships, the more you have the better. Use an invisible string, preferably strong fishing line, and hang the ships at various heights across the ceiling. This way you will have the appearance of the ships flying through space and the mix with the painted walls will look amazing. Add posters and other things from "Star Wars" onto the walls. Frame all of the posters to give the room a more polished and professional look. Hang shelves with various figures and collectibles. Make the shelves black so that the figures stand out.
