How to Stop My Child From Deleting the History
Tracking your children's online activity can be difficult when your children are more tech-savvy than you. If your kids are deleting their browsing history you might need to take additional steps in order to keep an eye on their online activity. Hiding the menu toolbar in Firefox is one way to stop your children from deleting the browser history. If you find that is not enough, you can set up parental control activity reports to ensure that you can monitor your children's online activities even if they delete their browsing history daily.

Hiding the Menu Toolbar in Firefox
Log in to your child's user account and open up the Firefox browser. Move the cursor to the top menu toolbar (where the history tab is located). Click the "View" tab just to the left of the "History" tab. Move the cursor down to the "Toolbars" option. Hold the cursor over "Toolbars" until the side window opens. Move the cursor to the right and click on "Menu Bar" to uncheck the menu bar option. The toolbar containing the "History" tab will immediately disappear. Repeat the process in each user account that your children have access to. Restore the menu toolbar as needed by placing your cursor at the top of the window in the blank space just below the Close "X" button and right-click to open the toolbar options menu. Click on "Menu Bar" to restore the menu toolbar. Set Up Activity Reports
Log in to the administrator user account. Click the "Start" button on the bottom left-hand side of the desktop. Move the cursor to the right and click "Control Panel" to open the control panel window. Scroll through the icons until you find the "Parental Controls" option. Click on "Parental Controls" to open the parental controls window. Select your child's user account when prompted to select the account you wish to set controls on. This will open the user controls window. If you have not established separate user accounts for your children you will be prompted to do so when you attempt to select the administrative account for parental controls. Follow the instructions given to set up user accounts for each of your children. Use the mouse to click and select "ON" to turn on the parental controls in the user controls window. Once the parental controls option has been turned on the activity reporting option becomes available. Click and select the "Activity Reporting" "On" option. Other parental control options are also available in this window. You may set limits to how your child uses the computer, what they are able to do on the computer and a time limit for computer use. Click "OK" at the bottom of the window to save the settings. This will return you to the parental controls window. If you need to set controls or activity reporting on additional user accounts do so now by selecting another user and repeating the process. View activity reports by returning to the parental controls window and selecting the user account you wish to view activity from. Click on "View Activity Reports" under the user's name in the user controls window. Activity is collected in weekly reports no matter how often the history is deleted.
