Bothell, Washington, a suburb of Seattle, has many activities for youth throughout the predominantly bedroom community of about 30,000 people. Bothell sits just north of Lake Washington, along the Sammamish River and within the Northshore School District. Bothell prides itself on its park system, averaging two parks per square mile. The United States Census of 2000 found that 26.3 percent of Bothell residents were under 19 years old.

Jump Planet has two 6,000-square-foot play areas with inflatable slides, obstacles courses, mazes and a special bouncer for children younger than 3 years old. Jump Planet's play areas are covered with a padding at least two inches thick, according to its website. Participants are required to wear socks and no food or drink is allowed, but Jump Planet does have private rooms for birthday parties for youth and also corporate events. There are open drop-in times, including one for families with special needs children.

Northshore Performing Arts Center

The Northshore Performing Arts Center serves residents of Bothell, Kenmore, Mill Creek and Woodinville, Washington, with concerts and other live performances. It also provides a venue for local productions and youth drama and theater education. The center, in a partnership with Northshore School District and the City of Bothell, has a 600-seat theater at Bothell High School.

Country Village

Country Village is a walkable collection of shops, along with train rides (open March through December), a bounce house, putt-putt course, picnic area and playhouse. In the summer, it has a Friday Farmers Market and other special festivals. Several of Country Village's stores carries products for youth or have kid-friendly events, such as Toys That Teach, Susan's Sweets and Bella and Max.

Park at Bothell Landing

The Park at Bothell Landing has a playground, picnic areas, trails and an amphitheater. It is a gateway to the Sammamish River Trail. The park is also a gathering place for the community and home to many festivals, Friday night concerts and the city's Fourth of July celebration, all appropriate for Bothell youth. The park is also home to historic buildings and a museum.
