Pre-Seed Instructions

Vaginal dryness poses a special problem for women who are trying to conceive. Regular intercourse around the time of ovulation may be uncomfortable or painful if you are too dry, but most lubricants kill sperm and hamper the ability of your cervical mucus to transport sperm to the uterus. However, the lubricant Pre-Seed is not only safe to use while trying to conceive but may even improve your chances of becoming pregnant. A 2010 Internet survey of Pre-Seed users found that Pre-Seed improved cervical mucus quality in 81 percent of women who had poor quality mucus. Thirty percent of users fell pregnant their first cycle using Pre-Seed even though 57 percent had been trying to become pregnant for over six months. By correctly following the instructions for Pre-Seed, you can positively affect your efforts to conceive.

Screw the end of the applicator barrel onto the Pre-Seed tube. Slowly squeeze the tube until you have filled the applicator with the amount of product you want to use. The manufacturer recommends 3 gm of Pre-Seed as the amount of product most women prefer.

    • 2

Stand, sit on the toilet or lie down and carefully insert the Pre-Seed applicator into your vagina. If the applicator feels uncomfortable or doesn't insert smoothly, remove it and try again, making sure you aim the applicator towards the center of your vagina.

    • 3

Grip the applicator's barrel and gently press the plunger down until you have deposited all of the Pre-Seed lubricant into your vagina.

    • 4

Remove the applicator and throw it away if you purchased the version of Pre-Seed with disposable applicators. If your Pre-Seed applicator is reusable, throw it away or immediately wash it. To properly clean the applicator, wash the plunger and barrel with warm water, rinse the two pieces and lay them on a dry cloth. Make sure the pieces have dried completely before using the applicator again. Once they have dried, reinsert the plunger into the barrel and store the applicator in your Pre-Seed container.

    • 5

Squeeze your vagina slightly to push out any excess lubricant. Gently wipe away any extra product on the outside of your vagina with a piece of toilet paper.
