How to Extend Stroller Handles
Being a tall mommy has its advantages. However, there is one aspect of life that annoys tall mothers-the simple, yet necessary act of pushing a stroller. Tall moms will find themselves hunched over when trying to push a standard stroller. It is possible to extend the handles on your stroller so that you don't have to lean over when you take your kid for a spin.
Instructions
Check the owner's manual to see if your stroller has an adjustable handlebar. Many of the newer, high-end models do. If your stroller does have adjustable handles, follow the manufacturer's instructions for adjusting them to a comfortable height. Usually it involves either pulling the handles up and out, or adjusting the angle of the handles up and down. Purchase stroller handle extenders or a stroller handlebar extender. If you have an umbrella stroller or other stroller with two separate handles, you will want the former; if you have a single horizontal handlebar, you will want the latter. (See Resources.) Read the directions for the extenders carefully, noting any safety warnings and cautions. Install the stroller handle extenders onto your stroller according to the included instructions. Usually there is a clipping mechanism. Adjust the handles to make sure they are at the proper height for you to push the stroller comfortably. Make any changes necessary. When you have it where you want it, tighten down the wing nuts to hold the extenders in place. Previous:How to Take a Baby on an Airplane
