Bouncy Seats or Swings

• A bouncy seat or swing can be a lifesaver for a new and overwhelmed parent. A vibrating seat or swaying swing can soothe the babies to sleep. The products give you some hands-free time while your babies are entertained. Parents of newborn twins may choose to have two bouncy seats, two swings or a bouncy seat and a swing.

Strollers for Two

• One double stroller or two single strollers -- the choice is yours. A double stroller is a necessity if one adult will be taking both babies out. Two single strollers are an option if two adults will be strolling with the babies. If you do choose a double stroller, you have two options: tandem and side-by-side. Tandem strollers are easier to maneuver in tight spaces, because one seat is behind the other. Side-by-side strollers are wider, but they come in lighter weight varieties for easier packing, unpacking and carrying.

Car Seats

• A car seat is a legally required item that your infants cannot share. Carrier infant seats, which click in and out of a base in the car, make it easier to transport sleeping infants to your destination. Convertible car seats can be used for infants and toddlers, and some even convert to booster seats for even older children. Because these seats are large and strap directly to the car's seat using a seatbelt, they can be inconvenient when it comes time to transport your sleeping baby from your car to your destination.

Twin Crib

• A twin crib can be an alternative to buying two cribs for your newborns. A twin crib features two separate sleeping areas, either side-by-side or stacked like a bunk bed. As an alternative, use a crib divider -- basically a foam product -- to turn a single crib into a double. Twin cribs and divided single cribs are adequate for the first few months only, so investing in two cribs may be the most cost-efficient option.
