Instructions for a Graco Pack & Play

Playpens play a big role in the lives of babies and toddlers in the first few years of life. They are helpful in supplying a sleeping area for young babies and a play area for older infants. Graco Pack and Plays are a popular choice among parents, but assembly of the units can be challenging. Setup can be accomplished in a few minutes with practice, but care must be taken to ensure the playpen is safe and secure.

Instructions

  1. Setup

    • 1

      Remove the Pack and Play from the fabric bag it's stored in. Open the Velcro pieces that hold the Pack and Play together. This will open the bedding piece, revealing the body of the playpen. Lay the bedding flat on the ground.

      Pull up on the long rails of the Pack and Play until they lock straight in place. Repeat this process with the short rails.

      Hold onto the end of the playpen and press the inside center of the playpen down firmly until it is flat.

      Place the bedding piece inside of the playpen, and secure it in place by sliding the Velcro strips through the bottom and attaching them to the Velcro on the outside bottom of the Pack and Play.

      Tuck the corners of the bedding beneath the corner stiffeners in the playpen.

    Folding

      Pull the two strips of Velcro on the bottom of the playpen to release the bedding.

      Remove the bedding and lay it flat on the floor.

      Pull the tab in the center of the playpen to fold it up the middle.

      Push the button on the side of the rail to release the tubes inside. Press the rail down and repeat on each side rail. If the rail won't fold down completely, pull the center of the playpen up higher.

      Fold the Pack and Play into its original state. If the unit will not fold completely, make sure all of the side rails are properly released. Fold the bedding around the outside of the playpen and secure with the Velcro strips.
