Instructions for a Boppy Pillow

The Boppy is an infant pillow that lends a helping hand as your baby grows and develops. The pillow, formed in a half-circle, is used for feeding and support. There are several ways to use a Boppy, depending on the age and stage of your child.

Instructions

    • 1

Wrap the Boppy around yourself to help support your baby during feeding time. Place the Boppy around your stomach with the opening in back. Rest your arm on the Boppy when holding your baby during feeding or lay your infant directly on the Boppy. This works for both breastfeeding and bottle feeding.

    • 2

Prop up your baby on the Boppy during rest times. Lay the infant in the center of the Boppy with her head propped up on the pillow. Do this only while the baby is awake and supervised.

    • 3

Use the Boppy during tummy time. Lay your baby on his stomach in the center of the Boppy, with his head and arms over the top of the pillow. This will help encourage your baby to hold his head up and show him the world from a different point of view.

    • 4

Sit up your baby in the center of the Boppy, using the pillow for back support. This will help your baby learn to sit on her own.
