1 Year Old Play Time Ideas

At one year old, a toddler is always on the move, exploring his world. Play time is a big part of that exploration. During play time, you can teach lessons while providing a fun activity for your toddler and allowing him to develop at his own pace. At this age, he's still learning to control his body, so you need to ensure that play time is in a safe environment with age-appropriate toys.

  1. Roll the Ball

    • Rolling a ball back and forth is a game any one-year-old baby can learn to play, and it helps teach the idea of taking turns. To play the game, get a soft ball and sit a short distance from the baby with your legs apart. Have her sit down in the same manner. Roll the ball to her so she can catch it.
