How to Stimulate a 5-Month-Old's Senses

At 5 months old, babies̵7; senses are sharpening, and they routinely use all five senses to experience the world. Although most people aren̵7;t introducing their babies to solid food quite yet, and since smell often goes along with taste, for small children, you probably won̵7;t do much stimulating of these senses beyond nursing and bottle feeding. However, you have ample opportunity to expand your child̵7;s sense horizons with sound, taste and touch. Activities that encourage these experiences help children develop and orient themselves in a big, unfamiliar world.
