How to Assemble & Use a Playtex Diaper Genie

If you have a baby and are tired of smelling dirty diapers, you can use a Diaper Genie to eliminate some of the odor. The Diaper Genie is a diaper pail that seals off dirty diapers in plastic. It takes only a few minutes to get the Diaper Genie ready for use.

Things You'll Need

  • Diaper Genie
  • Diaper Genie refill cartridge

Instructions

      Take the Diaper Genie out of the box and remove the lid at the top of the pail. It should easily snap out of place.

      Pull a foot and a half of plastic out of the Diaper Genie refill cartridge. Tie a knot at the end of the plastic and place the cartridge into the top of the pail. Push the plastic through the hole in the center. Snap the lid back in place.

      Open the lid on the Diaper Genie to insert a dirty diaper. Push it down into the Diaper Genie and force it through the clamp that blocks off the dirty diapers.

      Push the button on the front of the Diaper Genie to open the pail once it is full. Cut the film by pulling it into the cutter, and then tie a knot at the top of the bag. Throw away the bag full of dirty diapers.

      Pull more film through and tie a knot at the end so you will be ready for the next dirty diaper.
